Project Profile: Sustainable, Drought-Tolerant Landscape - 2009

  • Design Objective: Create an aesthetically-pleasing, drought tolerant design and build a fence to define perimeter.
Description of Design
  • Ground cover comprised of pea gravel, river rock, and bark, separated by wooden borders.
  • Plants used: cordyline purple hybrids, heavenly bamboo, small ferns, and blue fingers.
  • Wooden pavers used as stepping stones to the front porch and fire pit area.
  • Modern horizontal slatted fence, designed and constructed to frame the yard.
  • Stack flagstone impression retaining wall used to divide yard from raised planters.
